October 26, 2006 - How about my snack ??

Sorry, this photo looks in a little bit mess. :) ) Do you see the 2 squat kids in the front of the photo?? They are the models I want to display. They were sharing their snacks there, and didn’t notice other people!
“What are you eating?”–left cute girl
“The snack, mom put it in my bag this morning. This one, give you.”–right cute boy
“Umm… tasty~~tasty. Can I have another…”–left cute girl
“Oh.. let me see, there is less in it. I just ate few…”–right cute boy
Yesterday afternoon, I went to the Zhong1 Shan1 Park (中山公园) for Zsolt’s mention several days before. That is a park in downtown of the west part of Shanghai. The weather was so nice: cool and sunny. Lots of people were lounging there, even lots of cute children. From their same bags I know the children are from a kindergarten named “Shanghai-Anqing Kindergarten“. So adorable they are! I stood aside and watched them for a long time when they were playing on the ground. Then, I caught this very cute moment. But, Sorry for my bad “massy view”.
(Thanks Godness!! I can open the blogs again tonight!!! Since last night, I cannot logon any one of the blogs here. I was so worried about that the government blocked it again. I will try to catch time to read yours!! :D —edited on 22:29 2006/10/26 )

October 25, 2006 - Cigarette World… ???

“what?? oh, yes, I am smoking~~do you want some??”—girl said.
“oh, I have to smoke!! On the Metro, I cant smoke anymore!! ooo….really nice~~”—man said.
(I imitated from Kris, hahaha….)
Do you smoke ?? I don’t smoke, and I dislike people smoking. It is really unhealthy to our body. And the problem I want to say is that in Shanghai there are lots of people smoke in the public places. They don’t care about people around them like or dislike the smell, just like the 2 people in the photo. I caught the shot when I planned to enter the Metro. The girl looks so young and cool and beautiful. But so pity she smokes like a veteran.

October 24, 2006 - Reflection of Tower

I took this photo all by chance again. :) ) After took it, I was thinking if I am not the fan of DP … do I notice the surrounding so carefully???
This post is inspired by Carlos (Barcelona Daily Photo ). He shared us such beautiful reflection photos. I love them very much. Anything you could see it in different ways: itself or its shadow or its reflection. Then, we maybe could know it better and better …
Do you know which building’s reflection did I take??? :D Guess …

October 23, 2006 - Ur…Are you the fan of DP family??

Look, look, that beautiful girl !!! She is taking photos concentratively!!!

When I saw her, I was thinking of our big DP family. :) ) Is this the normal & familiar posture of the DP fans ??? Is there any one taking photos in another city at the same time when I am taking photos in Shanghai too ??? Would this happen??? And who will be my “twins” brother/sister ??? So wondering about this … :D Did you ever think of these problems??

(p.s. actually I planned to post a close view of the old buildings of Shi2 Ku1 Men2 which I posted yesterday. I did go out to take today … :( but the weather was too cloudy and hazy. No one is good enough to post. I hesitated for a long time…So, choose this “working hard” photo for Monday!! )

October 22, 2006 - Shi Ku Men — old buildings in Shanghai

Late today, but I did not go out for shipping this weekend. :-)

This is the typical old Shanghai residential area. Of course I took this photo recently. :D The buildings we call “Shi2 Ku1 Men2″ (石库门), literally the Chinese character has its meanning : shi2 = stone , ku1 = storehouse, men2 = door.

Nowadays, this kinds of old buildings are still existing in Puxi area of downtown. (Shanghai is divided into 2 parts by the Huang2 Pu3 River, the west side is called “Pu3 Xi1(xi1 = west)” and the east side is called “Pu3 Dong1(dong1 = east)”. ) The rooms in this kind of buildings are very smaller and lower. Can you imagine that the whole family (average 4 or 5 persons) lived in ONE small room which is less than 7 square meters??? I can’t. I never lived in this kind of rooms.

For me, they are very attractive. :) Not because they are “small”; because those people who lived in created and are creating the charming east city = Shanghai.
