Wow… wow…So many beautiful brides there!!! What’s the date today??? The “dies faustus” ??? Ur….
I read
Raymond’s post about the weddings. It reminded me that this year and 2007 are the “marriage
PEAK years” in China. For most people still believe some traditional customs that to get married or to bear children in special years could bring good luck for new couples or babies. And 2006 is
the year of the Dog; 2007 is
the year of the Pig. Both are the lucky years to get married and to bear children.
Actually I didn’t know I would see so many brides in the greenbelt yesterday. After lunch, I went out as usual to walk for a while and also want to catch some nice moments. In the park, I saw this.

I counted the number of the new couples who were taking wedding photos there are at least 14. How many brides can you find in this photo??
When I stayed there and tried to take some photos, I thought out one Japanese TV play series “
let’s get married“(the name in Chinese)(hehe…maybe I should ask
Macky’s help) acted by the famous Japanese actor
Yosuke Eguchi .
Have a nice weekend, my friends….

Do you like flowers?? Are you a craze for beautiful flowers?? I do !!!
This is the Strelitzia (on wiki). I like its another name — Bird of Paradise. In Chinese, we call it “鹤望兰(he4 = the crane birds; wang4 = look, lan2 = orchid)”. And the name is for the “elegant posture” of the flowers….
Beautiful things always make us happy. So it’s the homework for Friday! Hope all of you are happy as … “Doraemon”!!! (I am seeing his smiling face now… cute!!)
about Flowers, my favourite!!

There is no any skills in this photo. I took this photo all by chance.
Since
Kris posted that cute pink hat, I am so enjoyable to read
Zannnie’s adorable little girl, and
Lisi’s kids in the parks. Their nice posts aroused my desires to find the cute kids here .
When I saw these kids, they were waiting to pass that busy street, lined up. They were so noisy there, and attracted my attention all at once: Why did they appear in the CBD now???Where did they go??? They maybe were the kids from some kindergarten on an outing ???
… I took the photos and then looked at them till they passed the street and went far away…
Why am I not one of them???

As I remembered Kris once said that the daily photo blog really likes the homework, for me, the same.
Each day when I was on my way home, most time I thought about the photos: which one I should choose for tomorrow??? I havent seen some nice blogs today, so whose??
Shanghai Concert Hall (it is inspired from Zsolt’s National Theatre ) is the building you see in the photo. It was built in 1930s. Once it was called Nanking Theatre, and in 1950s, was called Beijing Theatre. Now it is very famous building in Shanghai because of its Lifting and Moving Project. It was moved 66.4 meters to the southeastwards to its present location.
Oh, yes, it is located in downtown, the center area of Shanghai. And it is not far from the green parks I posted yesterday!
about Shanghai Concert Hall

Still think about the skyscrapers???No, no….its time to forget that.
How about some ducks??
Today, I choose the nice view of the small parks in the downtown to post — Yan Zhong Greenbelt. (the name “Yan2 zhong1″ bases on the nearest road “Middle Yan2 An1 Road”, and in Chinese “zhong1″= middle. ) The greenbelt is very close to the famous road “Huai2 Hai3 Road”, if you came to Shanghai before, I guess you know this crowded street which has more than 100 years history.
I still remembered 5 years ago, the first sight I saw here was the big block of old and low houses, which are called “shi2 ku1 men2 (石库门)” . These are the unique buildings in old Shanghai. Now we still could see some in downtown. Someday I will show you some famous ones. For me, that kind of life is the real Shanghai, shanghai style… But I had no chance to live in it….till now… If you want to see more photos about the green and ducks…..HERE ….they are!!
