
Two days ago, I posted the photo about the ART DECO building – Cathay Theatre. And today I found an old version about Hamilton Building–one typical ART DECO building.
This photo is a little bit special, I am inspired by Zsolt’s post. And for Meg (the Art Deco big fan).It is an old photo taken in 1930s, and now is collected in the museum.

some parts look like empire state building
You know, before the war, there were all these (I can’t remember the correct word) “sections” of Shanghai occupied by different foreign countries? Wasn’t there a building kind of like this near a bridge at the start of the Japanese section? Possibly smaller. I had the taxi driver drive in front of it about six times back in 1986 just so I can see it.
