Lots of rain, the weather really realizes its promise.
Only Monday it was cloudy, and raining and raining till now.
Because the weather is walking into the winter. So much wind in Shanghai, and lots of yellow leaves dropped on the ground. It looks beautiful on the watery ground. This photo was taken in front of the Shanghai Concert Hall where there are lot of gingko trees. I like its leaves.
And here you could see another photo taken at the same place, but facing the other direction. Another view of the rainy busy morning in the city.

We have rain as well. My Mother taught me to never complain about rain. But sometimes I long for sunshine … Your second photo showing the motor scooters in the rain with the Chinese signs was very appealing and interesting. What may seem normal to you seems very exotic to those us who only see such scenes through your eyes.
Denton,
True, true! If find it is the little things that I notice the most when visiting another country (the light switches for example! lol). Seriously. I swear, when I saw this picture, I thought it was here in America. It looks just like here. Even the other one, except for the scooters…you don’t see them here).
But for the signs in Chinese….if you ever were on Buford Highway when you lived in Atlanta, I’m sure you saw miles and miles of Chinese, Viet Namese, and Korean signs!
Hope today finds you well in Shanghai Jing!
Hey, Jing, at least it’s not heavy snow! Send some rain to Australia!
cette photo est tres belle, cette femme seule sous la pluie semble si frele et si fragile
this photograph is very beautiful, this woman alone under the rain seems so frail and so fragile
a beauty view…sometimes, rain is magic! i love trees
VERY NICE, Jing. I love the red reflections on the wet pavement. About the other shot, I think the row of people on their scooters, all dressed up in bright and colourful raingear is great too!
I love the rain. It’s been washing away the haze in KL and cooling the air.
i like the harmony of the dress of the lady. Only an orange/red umbrella is missing from the collection:)
Ugh!.. what a rotten day Jing!
Enjoy the rest of the week.
That’s really beautiful! Colour light and rain. Perfect
Cheers!
What a romantic scene..only a couple is missing
truth is I love rainny days. I sleep better listening to the sound of rain drops.
Like Denton my mother taught me to appreciate the rain, but I get tired of it too after a long time. This is a very beautiful photo, and I thank you.
I have always enjoyed walking in the rain. The smells are always enhanced.
While I don’t know if China celebrates Thanksgiving the same as we do, I wanted to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving in any case. Thanks for all the kind words you have posted at my site over the past few months!
Bill
Love the coloful rain ponchos of the scooter brigade! And your descriptions – pure poetry!
Thanks for visiting my site (and the bird taking off on my latest post is an Anhinga, closely related to cormorants)
rainny day?… well in Madrid is raining too…
nice wet floor…
Jing, the metal things at the bottom of the trees could be the same as in Paris. How strange how some things can be similar around the world…including the rain!
