The weathercast said recently ONLY today it is cloudy, and the coming whole week will rain as the past week did. And this is the sun I saw at noon today. It didn’t look like a sun, more looked like a white “spot” on the piece of “gray cloth”. Oh, maybe someone dropped some bleacher on the sky by chance ????
about only ONE cloudy day …
When the weather is good, there is often hold some kind of performace in front of the Oriental Pearl Tower. One day I noticed this–lots of “special” lights. I don’t know how to call it in English. But they really look like the kind of “machine troop”.

Rainy weekend here. How about your city?? I went out to try to find some moment, some moment for rainy weekend … But the light is not so good to take a nice photo. I caught some moments … but the photos looked so blurring. So lucky this building didn’t move as people did.
This building is on the Huai2 hai3 Road (M), the first ground floor is the shop. You could see the name of the shop in this photo — 上海妇女用品商店(red words on that big board)。In literally: 上海(shang4 hai3), of course you know it; 妇女(fu4 nv3)=women; 用品(yong4 pin3)=things for use; 商店(shang1 dian4)=shop. The products selling in that shop are all related to women. Once before 1980s, it was very famous in the mainland for its various goods, esp. some colourful clothes for women. At that period, people only wore the blue or green clothes. The whole China was a whole “gray” world. If someone wore some colourful/modern clothes, he/she would be criticized as the “bourgeois” who is the enemy of the “proletarian”. That period was a little bit abnormal as I see. Oops, history lessons again…

Rainy Friday …
But I am so happy to see lots of footsteps here. This one is not what I took today. The weather here is not sunny for a long time and I am a sunset fan, missing it.

When seeing Kris’s photo about the rainy day…. I realized that rain is also romantic.
