No doubt, the whole world is full of the Christmas season atmosphere, real world or the unreal world. I mean our blogs.
After the time walks into Dec., I already saw lots of beautiful / funny / creative / traditional / ** decorations about Christmas theme. And I just try to catch your guys steps today.
This is the inside view of the Grand Gateway(港汇广场) which is a very big and mainly shopping mall in the west side of the city. Walking into the mall, lots of people can be seen there even on Wed. They decorated the whole building, each floor, each shop, even each counter! I even forgot to take photos when enjoying seeing the beautiful decor. This shopping mall is built and managed by HongKong businessmen. That’s why we call it “gang3 hui4 guang3 chang3″(港汇广场), in literally, gang3=port, but in Chinese, it is the same Chinese character as the character “kong”(港) in the name of 香港(hong kong).(oops, so difficult to explain,
hope i said it clearly. If you don’t understand, just ask, i will try to explain more.) And hui4=collection, so,you could find lots of shops. Guang3 chang3=plaza.
Actually here are some very successful business projects which are all managed by Hongkong businessmen, another very famous commercial site(also a very famous tourist site)–Xin2 Tian2 Di4 (新天地) is also built by the Hongkong businesmen. Maybe you know that place already?? When I try to learn more about the city, I fount its very interesting that Shanghai and Hongkong have some kind of similarity: society=>immigrant; culture=>mixed:west+east; people=>floating; location=>seaside … Oh,gosh,I digress again and so far.
Have a nice day though at work!!
Here you can see the big photo.

Looks very festive. Is Christmas a big holiday in China?
Waouhhh impressionnant ce centre commercial. celui d’Evry fait tout petit petit petit.
ta photo est magnifique, tu as bien rendu cette sensation d’immensité.
Waouhhh impressing this shopping centre. that of Evry makes very small small small. your photograph is splendid, you returned this feeling of vastness well.
Lovely picture, lovely decoration!
What a huge consumer heaven!
I’ m always feeling dizzy in places like this. I prefere not to shop. I like to watch the people going up and down, drink coffee, look at the wonderful decoration, hear the music, lazing in a soft couch!!!!!!!!!!!
That is a huge mall! Wow.
Decorations are like snow crystals. When is snowing on the dark cloth, you can see just like these decorations are.
How many floors in this house are for shopping? Are things cheaper , when you go upper
and upper?
Crikey!
Winter Wonderland in China!
What an amazing scene Jing, I’m surprised at the apparent commitment to a Christian theme (Chistmas), or is it just a commitment to money?
i am just scrolling and scrolling the photo and there are still more floors….amazing how huge mall:)
that’s a lovely decoration Jing, and a great shopping centre, it looks huge – one can get lost there =)
Very impressive, Jing. Looks like a giant wedding cake!
So cool. And it has good harmony with original color.
Wow!! That’s beautiful!
I have never seen a six story shopping mall in my life! Huge!
Call me crazy, but I am a little surprised that Christmas is so celebrated in China. When did that become so common?
It’s beautiful!
Happy working? Nope, not working these few days. On leave and out of the country too!
