January 31, 2007 - another world of the city

07-01-31

Lots of friends here are taking a break, to get new photos and more inspirations for the blog. And the inspiration of mine is a little bit less. The cold weather freezes our mind?? ;)

This is a view from a narrow door facing the street in the downtown of Shanghai. It is a very very old block, and these buildings are what I said before : Shi2 Ku1 Men2 (石库门). Of course there are some sorts of Shi Ku Men, this block may belong to the B/C grade. I am not sure. If you have chance to visit shanghai, esp, the old town part, you will see what I took in this photo. Hope the governors dont have the plan to destroy them all.  Big photo is here.  Â

January 30, 2007 - Roasted sweet potato

roasted sweet potatos

Roasted sweet potatos, did you ever taste it?? Actually the booth does’t look clean or nice, but I like eat the hot roasted sweet potatos in the cold winter. Some nice memory about the childhood would come from the small bite of the sweet food. :) Big size photo is here.

January 29, 2007 - WOW~~

arobatics

Some acrobat was performing on the out stage this Sunday, cold wind was blowing. I went to shop the new harddisk for my poor computer… and found this. Astonished… You could see the detailed photo here.  And more photos can be seen here.

January 28, 2007 - Man-made lake in the night

night view

There is a big lake near the People’s Square, and it’s a part of the green belt of the downtown. Strong wind was blowing when I took this photo, chill and cold. Night view can be seen in the distance, there, it is the crowded street of the city: Nan Jing Road.  Big photo is here….and wish you have the nice Sunday time!!

January 27, 2007 - Dustman & Swarovski

#3

Location: Huai Hai Road
Time:      Lunch break….(with strong wind)
Scene:    The dustman was sweeping the street in front of the Swarovski store.

There are some world famous Brand stores on one part of the Huai Hai Road (middle). I seldom noticed what kinds of famous-brand stores there. Recently, during the lunch break, I had the chance to walk along that partial street. On the wall beside the door, there is a small board which tells us the name of the brand, and where they come from. And the price of the goods, oh, dear, too expensive for us normal Chinese people to buy. I saw this guy each time when I walked there, wondering does he care those brand products??  Here is the big photo.

Have the nice weekend, my friends~~~
