roasted sweet potatos

Roasted sweet potatos, did you ever taste it?? Actually the booth does’t look clean or nice, but I like eat the hot roasted sweet potatos in the cold winter. Some nice memory about the childhood would come from the small bite of the sweet food. :) Big size photo is here.

Had plenty of roasted potatoes, but never a sweet one! Those, or yams, we bake over the Thanksgiving holidays (with maple syrup for me!). What do you put on top of your sweet potato, if anything?
I’m getting hungry now - time for lunch. And interestingly enough, it is chinese restaurant today ;-)

Yes, sweet potatoes are a staple of Thanksgiving dinner. My mother purees cooked sweet potatoes with brown sugar (and I’m not sure what else is in the recipe) and they are delicious!

But without an extra sweetener like brown sugar, they don’t taste very sweet. I’ve baked one before (like a regular baked potato) and it tasted so different (not as good…to me). I guess I’m used to the added sweetness.
