Lots of friends here are taking a break, to get new photos and more inspirations for the blog. And the inspiration of mine is a little bit less. The cold weather freezes our mind??
This is a view from a narrow door facing the street in the downtown of Shanghai. It is a very very old block, and these buildings are what I said before : Shi2 Ku1 Men2 (石库门). Of course there are some sorts of Shi Ku Men, this block may belong to the B/C grade. I am not sure. If you have chance to visit shanghai, esp, the old town part, you will see what I took in this photo. Hope the governors dont have the plan to destroy them all. Big photo is here.

Jing this is a superb photo of your city -behind the scenes-. Reminds me of our stay in Nanchang—so many things hanging from all the windows!

The contrast between your city and mine is crazy. And the difference between our cold and yours is equally wild.
Great blog!! I sent your link to some friends who used to work in Shanghai.

Wonderful. I love the older parts of cities — such texture. Great photo!
