Hm…Time flies so fast. We see Feb 1st already. It means the Lunar Chinese New Year will come soon; it means we will have another 7-day holiday soon; it means Spring(March) will arrive after Feb…. :d And most important is… the Theme Day reloads again.
What annoys me in Shanghai are not only one thing, of course. As Ham‘s theme: the price of the house sometimes makes me awake all the night. :p
Today I choose a lower quality photo to post…Sorry, but I really really want to tell you that the crowded subway/buses annoys me every morning. During the time people rush for the offices, you cannot catch any other things on the subway, but the people…people and people!! I planned to take a photo from top, though I am a small person; so you could imagine when I am among so many people…oh, you cant find me! And I only can catch lots of backs or chests…. :p When I planned the theme photo, I even wish I was Yao Ming, then I could shoot a nice photo.
52 Daily Photo sites are participating in the 1st December theme, “What really annoys you about my city”, please use the links to below to visit them.
Due to time zone differences and other factors, the theme photo may not be displayed until later if you are viewing early in the day.

We are lucky that this is not a problem we have in Australia – such a vast land, so few people!
It’s very effective shown from that angle. I hate commuting on public transport, you always end up with colds and flu. Bike for me!!
I hate crowds like that too. You captured the feeling of it very well. Terrific photos on your blog,by the way.
I quite like your photo, and share your annoyed feelings
Cheers
Sorry to hear you are awake at night, Jing. House prices are a real problem and we all need a space to call our own. What the solutions are i don’t know.
Although i’m not showing on the list (i was too late – eek!), i am participating in Theme Day.
It’s an effective photo, makes me claustrophic! I always complain, wishing we could have mass transit here in my community (we have buses, I want a train), but this is the down side: crowds!
I feel your pain; the trains and buses in NY are like that too!
cela ressemble au RER (Train de banlieue) le matin pour aller sur Paris. la galere…
that resembles the RER (Suburban train) the morning to go on Paris. the galere…
Poor Jing, lost in the crowd…maybe you should carry something stinky (like garlic) with you onboard, then they’ll give you some room
))
oh….isabella. what a brilliant idea???
:d
i will try to find some garlic….now….
Your photo translate the feeling of tight spaces and crowds very well. Realy cool photo.
Actually Jing, your photo is perfect…no need for Yao!
hao3 mang2 oh….
i am trying to imagine how much more crowded it will be soon for the new year!
Jing..I dont mind that you are not Yao Ming:) But crowded public transportation is really annoying:)
Oh, what a crowd! I can feel how you feel Jing.
Very nice shot!
Great photo.
I’m with you Jing, property price going up quite rapidly here as well.
As nathalie said, I am so grateful I don;t have to put up with this ona daily basis! Well captured sense of claustrophobia.
Jing, I’m imagining you getting lost in that crowd. Maybe you can take a lesson from two of the photos from Singapore today. . .their annoyance was people saving a chair or taking up the next seat on the bus with some belongings. Just spread yourself out and ignore everyone. ;^) Take care,
-Kim
I’m tall. Not as tall as Yao Ming! However the challenge to photograph this crowd scene would call for holding my camera well above my head and shooting blind … The scene you have shared is different from anything I experience regularly.
