Food post for the third time.
Food is totally related to the culture. This dish is cold dish, called: 凉粉(liang2 fen3), in literally, liang2= cold, fen3=powder. Actually it should be called “bean jelly” in english. The white jelly is made by the green bean powder. It is one of the Si Chuan Cuisine. In the photo, you could see the broad bean chili paste, garlic, pieces of shallot, and in the paste there is the Sichuan peppercorn for sure which is the common ingredient for the Sichuan Cuisine. This one is my favourite dish– tastes well and costs less.
Have an tasty Sunday!!! Big photo is here.

I love food photos. Hope to see more. It gives you quite better idea about the culture. My the way, I love Chinese food. I wonder , what are you eating for breakfast?

Love the picture. Makes me hungry
i’m familiar with this kind of 凉粉 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grass_jelly.
..eaten as sweet rather than savoury. However, the condiments can do know wrong, slurp!!
Always happy to look at pics of delicious Chinese food!
It looks yummy, but I’m not too sure about the white jelly. I am afraid to try certain foods that are unusual for me. I believe you that it is delicious, and if we were having lunch together, I would try it!
tonight i just had liang fen!
it was part of a dish called white pork with garlic, the liang fen was below the pork.
yum yum…
