“A lovely girl!” when we saw her at the first sight we all would think like this. But, She was a professional begger on the streets in the downtown. She is not the orphan; you could see her family members not far from her. Why did she beg all the day?? Thought, the public media here reported this phenomenon for many times, the investigation showed that these people are not as poor as we thought, they came from the inland areas, and too lazy to work hard to support their life. Dark side…
(Not the positive post for the theme day, but it’s the reality of our society. I met this kind of children many times, sometimes they even grasped your arms/legs till you gave the money. (sigh~~) I do hope their parents could let them go to school to learn how to be a good and civilized man, to be the real “men at work”. )

A sad realistic portrait of our society as well…
This is a sad photo but it reminds us that life is hard.
I see your point, but my heart goes out to her. It’s alway the kids that suffer the most…
tres bon choix pour le theme du mois, photo tres dure par la realité qu’elle represente. Bravo pour avoir choisi ce theme
very good choice for the topic of the month, very hard photograph by the reality which it represents. Cheer to have chosen this topic
Jing CONGRATULATIONS on this post today!
One, for posting not a man but a woman (girl) – surely the theme couldn’t be gender specific ?
And two for reminding us of this very sad state of affairs, that some children WORK instead of being able to go to school. Many thanks for this!
Jing, I have a favour to ask you. When you have a minute, would you mind visiting SYdney Daily Snap and having a look at my post dated 28 Feb, there are a couple of Chinese characters that I would love you to translate for me if you have the time…
ok…nathalie…
)
i will see it now
Sad reality, but very clever twist to the theme title. Great photo!
this one breaks my heart.
how sad… this is child abuse
…. eye opening image…
What a sad and horrifying photo!! *sigh*
Remind us be thankful for what we have.
She doesn’t have the life of a child. Provocative post for today’s theme.
very poignant addition to the theme
Sad reality ..i just hope with the money they begged some will go to her education.
Lovely photo, & heartbreaking.
The photo is great in plain accord to the theme of the month. Unfortunately she’s having her child time stolen and this is sad. My compliment !
Nice choice Jing, a good reminder of people who don’t choose to work
Thank you for posting this – I agree with what others said!
very interesting. I would have never guessed she was working.
Sad story, I guess. But it’s a very striking photo.
I know what you mean.
But your presentation is beautiful as it is your photgraph
All the best
Good thoughts, Jing. We look forward and hope for a good outcome for this little one.
Well done with your comment on my last photo “Fling him…etc”……Yes, the clouds were going very fast, and Yes the world has changed since Ham House mansion was built by the Duke in 1610 – You got the idea!!!! But in many other ways it has not. Thanks for visiting me regularly …….Good fortune to you, too.
If what you say is true of her family, I agree with Keropok…this is child abuse.
Similar to people that take their children into stores to steal things….these parents are teaching their children horrible things that will seem “normal” to them for the rest of their lives.
susan, thats true sadly.
I read those reports on the public maganizes, even the CCTV also made such investergations to explore such phenomenon in out society.
Thats why I also hope they could go to school and learn more knowledge, so that they would know what should do, and wont let their children live like this.Education is much more important and necessary for our nation.
Hi
I can’t be bothered with anything these days, but shrug. I just don’t have anything to say recently.
G’night
