How wonderful!! Such an unusual perspective. You on a bridge?
When I saw the thumbnail of this picture, I thought it was a B&W with a colorized streak. The full-size image is much more interesting. There is a real tension with the cyclists ready to go and the police officer holding them back. The red banner is a terrific touch, adding visual excitement.
My wife and I will visit Shanghai for the first time in four months – can’t wait!
This view from above is very appealing….like the colors of the outfit of traffic guy….:)
and the pic reminded me of the quote, “Every time I see an adult on a bicycle I no longer despair for the future of the human race.” H.G. Wells
nice looking phot.
I am biker as well.
Highly disciplined people. Not one sticks beyond the white lines in front or on the left side.
great photo. What a nice people there are in the world. Waiting for the greenlight. Don’t do that in Holland you will get a ticket by the police
Terrific shot. Are there still many many bikes on Chinese roads? I was there when there were hardly any cars at all, and virtually no traffic lights! The intersections were controlled by a traffic policeman in a white outfit! I guess you wouldn’t have dared do the wrong thing!
Super photo, and I like to see all these people using their bikes. (although I guess that’s well known in China)
very cool perspective! your shanghai dp tag even more cool
ohh I remember the crosses in Shanghai..its really crazy!:)
Love the photo. You really show us the life of the city. I can feel their exasperation and hurry.
zsolt72 said well in my opinion. I remember the same in Beijin. This photo is stunning as most of your. Many compliments!
it looks like it’s a race track, all ready to ” ready… get set GO! “
