April 20, 2007 - O.P.T.

07-04-20

Whats for O.P.T. ? Yes, Oriental Pearl Tower!! Did I post it before?? I forget. ;) But I shot it for many times: bang bang bang. :D I took it yesterday, and like it. So, post it right now.

p.s. I said earlier yesterday that we would go to suzhou for a one-day-trip. But, :-( we met some bad luck. The bus just left the park only around 30 mins, another bus behind “bang” crashed the bus we were in, and the back glass was broken. We waited for the traffic cops, after they arrived we were told the bus couldnt leave the city. So, the result was….we went back to the office. 55555~~~~I missed my Spring trip!!

April 19, 2007 - In the rain…

07-04-19

Singing in the rain,
Just singing in the rain.
What a glorious feeling…
We are happy again,
We’ll walk down the lane…
With a happy refrain,
 And singing….
Just singing in the rain
==lyrics from the film “Singin’ in the rain“==

Another post of the swans in the rain. I like to say hello :-)  to them when I passed the lake each time. And took a shot, saved as the swan diary. Wonderful creatures!!

07-04-18

Dont know why I am so so sleepy now. Even cant open my eyes, I am typing with my eyes closed. :D haha……So, I found out this little old photo about food: roasted fish. Forget the name of the fish, (sorry, I cant recognize the types of any fish at all. But I love to eat fish very much. ;-) ) I tried this dish on the Wu Jiang Road(吴江路), where now is being taken the renovation. Here and here you could read more information about this road. Its famous for all most the Shanghainese.

April 17, 2007 - TESiRO: flagship store in SH

07-04-17

Located on Middle Huai Hai Road, Nu.530, it is the Asian flagship store of TESiRO.

This is a part of the road that I need pass almost everyday. I saw it was re-decoreted, I saw it opened, I saw the beautiful advertisements in the windows too. Maybe the reason is I only passed it in the early morning or the rush hour of going home. Yes, this one I took it in the morning, and here is the nightview of course.

Something interesting things happened was ;-) I wondered why I can’t see the shoppers come and go?? And one day I even noticed the windows of the store covered with much dust, and a very plain white paper sticked on the entrance door: on sale, -50%. Oh dear, why this small brand store opened here?? Seemed no enough buys here. It would cost them tons of coins.Thats what I thought at that time. ………. Few days later, I read the ads on the newspaper. :-o Oh, My~~ I suddenly understood why I seldom saw the shoppers there. SO ExPEnSive….

Some background: the building you see was built in 1928, it named “和合坊”(he2 he2 fang3). It is  the new style Li3 Nong4(新式里弄), which means the new style lane. It is an update of Shi Ku Men style.

April 16, 2007 - Petal-Rain

Yesterday,Sunday, in the morning I was surprised that I could go through all the blogspot.Wonderful!! So I decided to catch up your buddies. Wow….it is really a big and tough task if I wanted to finish all the visits in one time. My wrist was so tired after I read the blogs from Asian, and Europe. So, maybe today later I will visit the left ones. Wow, we have a huge family now I think. hehe…nice!!

Love Spring, because we could see the world turning alive with lots of colours. Maybe green is the most popular one. ;-) When passed by the green park every morning, I saw each tiny changes  of those flowers.

Forget the exact time to see these fallen peach blossom petals, it reminded me the famous classical Chinese Novel “Dream of the Red Chamber“(红楼梦). Do you know it?  In this long story, there is a very famous part about  the petals, which related to “Lin Daiyu“(林黛玉), one of the principal characters. She was an orphan. Once she saw those falling petals, she thought of herself: lonely, sad, neglected, just like those fading flowers. So, she collected the petals on the ground and put in a bag, and buried.  She was so sentimental that even the petals she also wanted to find them a very nice home to stay. In Chinese, we called it “Daiyu Zang Hua”(黛玉葬花),in literally, dai4yu4=黛玉,the name; zang4=葬, to bury; hua1=花, the flowers, here it means the fallen petals. That was a sad story. :P hehe, It seems I am off the subject so far.

I like those tiny pink petals dotted here and there in the green grass, somehow they look like the petal-rain just drop? :) Do you find my logo today?? haha…..Nice Monday. Don’t be influenced by that sad story please!!
