a secluded spot but one can tell the city isn’t far away
Ah, a restful spot in a hideaway in your city!
I guess its still Shanghai..but somewhere far from the downtown:)
Is this a city in Vietnam or Thailand?
I’m with Gerald when he says your town is not far away, but i can be wrong, i’ve never been in China! Have a good day, Jing!
I love the contrast between the calm boat and the electric towers in the backgroud.
If you are trying to trick us, you are doing a good job…But still, I’ll say Shanghai
Dear Jing,
It’s hard, because I don’t know Shanghai at all!
I think you could be playing a trick on us, so yes maybe this is very close to Shanghai!
I’ll come back to find out, please make sure you give us an answer later today!
Don’t know, Jing, but it’s so different from my own surroundings i find it very restful!
A nice photograph. I like your work and that you chose this picture for the theme day.
My Theme Day is of a city unto itself, with its own zip code, and a portrait of the “Peashooter” at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Hope you like flying.
ah clever post, jing! to show your city as other diferent place! nice one
Small old town definitely! Tell us Jing. Where it is exactly? And what is the person on the little boat doing?
Doesn’t look like Shanghai, even though I have never been to Shanghai.
I always thought of Shanghai as a big city like Tokyo or New York City.
Looks like it should be somewhere else. But than again, it could be a lone water-way in the middle of a big city.
Check out my theme day pic:

I got in late to the list.
Have a great day!!!
rural and industrial, a vast contrast! my guess that it is still in Shanghai
I like this shot a lot!
Very good way to do Theme Day! Can you guess what mine is?
I would guess this is still Shanghai. But when I first saw the photo my first thought was that the photo was from Vietnam.
thx a lot, my buddies.
if i havent visited your site, sorry…i had to spend some more time on translation. seems i am behind the schedule again….(shy…)
yes, this place still belongs to Shanghai, but its in the suburb,in the west of the city, it belongs to the Qing Pu District (清浦区). I have no ideas about how kilometers from the downtown, I took it when I was on a bus, a quick snapshot. I was attracted by that man, it is hardly to see this kind of small boat here too nowadays.
