May 16, 2007 - Oriental Pearl Tower

Yes, caught the Tower again. But this time I stood on the west side of the Huang Pu River,— the Bund. The architecture you see aside of the photo is the Hero Cenotaph  which was built to memorize who died during the wars since 1840.  It consists by 3 gun-shape parts, which implied the meaning of the main 3 historical periods in Shanghai’s history: Opium Wars; May 4th Movement of 1919; and China’s War of Liberation, as well as in China. Before 1949, there once was an garden called “huang pu garden”(黄埔公园) which was the first garden built in shanghai, in 1867.

It was my first time to discover this Cenotaph, and underneath there is a museum——Museum of the Bund’s History. Recently it is being redecorated. If you will come to visit shanghai someday, maybe its a choice. Museum is free for all.

May 15, 2007 - People at work

Since we did the Theme post about people in work. I began to notice the people I met : did they work?? Good timing to shoot?? hehe….I always carry my camera on my hands when I am out, wherever.

This guy I met yesterday. After lunch,the weather was hot hot hot,    it was around 30 degrees. But I took camera and went. On the road I saw this electrick bike  loaded with so many boxse. Well, another busy delivery guy in the city. Shanghai is really a big city, and has the worse transportation situation. And more express delivery business rely on the Metro or more flexible bikes. Most of the time you could see them with small bags and runing fast. This one is seldom to meet.

May 14, 2007 - Swan #4

Swan post again, hope you still like to say hello to the graceful creature. This time I took in the dusk, they were also freshening up  at that time. I was observing this one for a long time, the neck is amazing soft…just like the soft rope. He/she twisted and twisted as it wanted, I wish I could have such a neck.    Wish you friends good new week. (Sorry, net got some problem again, cant logon now and then, cant open blogspot again. )

Flowers for Mom~~
Happy happy day, dear Mom,  And happy Day to all great Mothers….

Well, I like those macro beautiful flower photos very much, and you? When seeing those beatiful / stunning / amazing colours from nature, I am happy. Hope you are happy too! Took this small flowers on my way home. The summer seems live here already, the most flowers are fading, only less tiny flowers in blossom, this is one of them.

I made this photo by amazing Photoshop. And its an odd thought to mixed the original colorful with B&W together. When I saw the result, it let me think of more about life: we are just like the small flowers surviving in the tremendous world, sometimes the sun shines us; but sometimes the black clouds overcasts our whole world. How to balance?? Do you have your own way?? Sometimes I could go through the tough period, sometimes I would be lost.

Well, for sure, using my eyes to find the beatiful world did make me feel happy!! I feel so lucky and proud to join in the City Photo Blog community.

May 12, 2007 - A duck in shower??

Happy Saturday!! well, today I am busy for I will help one of friends to go to the hospital and find a great paediatrician to get some advice for his son, who had the surgery last Oct.  But dont worry I prepared this nice photo for you already.

So, what do you see?? yup, a duck in shower. Its a very interesting thing to watch them play the water. I recommend you enlarge the photo to see, you could see the motion of the water.
