I like red color. As someone in the TV series “Sex and the City” said about the red:like lives in China, our national flag is in red, most important symbols here are all in Red. Maybe that means China or the CCP (China Communist Party).
The whole June I spent lots of time to find the red in this city, lucky I found some, and i already posted some red views here , here , here and here. I am thinking about making a mixture of red photos in one. But I dont think its a real photo, so finally I decided to choose one photo to join the Theme day.
Here are the members who take part in the Theme day, due to the different time zone, the photos will appear sooner or later. Just check the below links:

China and red are associated -of course- in my mind. Have a nice Theme Day all around the world, Miss Jing!
You could make an interesting collage with all your red photos. I especially like the window of red shutters and the umbrella is very creative!
Very effective photo - especially the first one ‘red’ - I like the compostion of this photograph.
j’aime bien ces enseignes, bonne idee
I like these signs, good idea
I like your choice a lot because the word “red” is in the photo. Nicely done! Have you been able to visit the other participating blogs? I hear that many Internet sites are blocked in China.
Cheers from Boston!
Nice shot and great composition. Love the red umbrella shot too.
I noticed something funny. The middle one says:” I am free.” [in Chinese wordings] Haha.
Have a nice week ahead and Happy Theme Day!
I think you made a perfect choice..although I agree with Kate, the others would make a nice collage.
Perfect shot, Jing! Those signs remind me of bottle caps
This is certainly a ‘Shanghai Surprise’ with the three sign. I will have to visit postkard.com.
Your country and red colour is a quite natural association. I still have those 2 paper-flag I bought at Tien An Men place
One of the first photos you posted, many months ago, was of a sea of red chairs. At the time I thought it was very unique to China. When I went looking for red, in my home town, I was surprised how little red I found.
Nice choice!
I spent a week in Beijing in February 1982 and some of the things that struck me were the muted colours - blue and green - and the splashes of red everywhere.
Nice image.
Jing,
Your photo for our theme day is brilliant!!! Really perfect. And when Emily translated the “I’m Free” part, I just started laughing after what you’d written. I’m so sorry you can’t comment at blogger sites. That is very sad. I hope the restrictions are lifted soon. This is a wonderful photo, and one of the very best in all our theme day pictures!

Hi Jing,
You are right, Red seems a colour very much associated with the Chinese culture.
Very interesting choice for today. I went back and had a look at your other Red shots too!!!
I love the chinese way of English spelling…its just like me:)
Happy Theme Day Jing!
You are right, they always use Red in China.
Very “ji li” colour right?
