July 17, 2007 - Where are you,dear??

 shanghai metro station, people China

I met this guy just out of the Metro station of Line2. He lay behind this NOTICE written by himself….if you look carefully, behind the notice is the map of shanghai, behind the map is his suitcase.
So what did it say on the notice??? I try to translate:

I am looking for a girl whose name is tang2 li4 hong2(唐立红), she is 31 years old, 1.59 meter high, and born in Xin jiang province. She works in rag trade as a designer.
Today is your birthday and also is the last day I stay in shanghai. I wait for you for over one month here. I tried my best to find you, but the God didnt give me the best luck. I am tired!!
Wish you happy happy birthday~~
Goodbye Shanghai!!!

(Then followed a traditional Chinese poem from a very famous poet Lu4 You2(陆游) who lived in Song dynasty. Its a poem about love story, but sad ….)(in the webpage of the wiki, you also can find the translation of this poem titled “Phoenix Pin (釵頭鳳)” )

What a romantic story…..Š

Dont be surprised!! I took this shot on the huaihai road where is very close to my office: early summer morning, less people, but enough sunlight. The way he dressed caught my attention: bit funny, bit impolite in the public place. So another snapshot. Well, daily life in Shanghai.

July 13, 2007 - How to escape?

rainy street view in Shanghai China

Thundershower is almost the summer’s fellow. I caught this view when I met the heaviest thundershower last weekend. I went to the market to buy things, standing there to wait the bus… And all of sudden, the water was pouring down to the ground. Lucky I carried the umbrella; unlucky its too heavy that the umbrella only could protect my head, plus my camera!! Nice Friday!!!!
