Summer season, hot season, and less dress season for sure. But how less you dress is pretty different. Here is a normal daily scene in Shanghai, among the living districts. Men only with shorts, sitting in the public area….chatting comfortably. I am still not very used to this kind of scene though I live in China since I was born. Its interesting for there is no “public space” in most of Chinese people’s thought. Another typical Chinese daily life view. …. I took it just downstairs where I live.

July 8, 2007 - When you look up, carefully~~
So, its Saturday. Whats your plan?? Relax at home? Clean your house? Or go out for strolling?? Maybe you will do some laundry at home as I do. This is a shot I took amongest the old town of the city where is totally different from modern Shanghai: narrow alley, lower houses; friendly local people. Well, bit untidy. But that is the real life of the normal people here. And the very impressive view is the “ubiquitous” laundry: clothes, socks, underwear (just like in this shot), even shoes…you can find any stuffs hanging under the sunlight and OVER your head.
