October 31, 2007 - For Halloween

pumpking heads in the shopping windows, shanghai China

Happy Halloween!! :D

I passed by this shop windows, and found their decorations was bit funny with this kind of pumpking heads on the fake kids-models. And now when I look this, I feel little scary. And today I watched some news on TV. It talked about those very scary toys in the markets during the All Saints’ day. Sometimes those little kids or their parents even went to buy “the scary toys” for them… Do you think this is proper for the children or not? I prefer some yellow pumpkings.

I thought your photo was funny the first time I saw it, but now I agree it’s a bit scary!

I think the store proprietor did not intend for the displays to be of a scary nature.

Happy Halloween! :-)

Nice blog - enjoy your pictures.

The word is “pumpkins,” not pumpkins! Cute! In America we make pies and funny jack-o-lanterns out of them during the Fall holidays. Do you know about trick or treating?

Halloween is supposed to be scary - - - and don’t worry - children can tell the difference between real danger and “pretend” goblins. Religious meaning has long since been discarded by your typical American - - - now it’s just a fun holiday for the whole family.
