Huhu, busy weekend is over, and new week started.  And the past weekend it was quite crowded in Shanghai Exhibition Center, besides the Shanghai Expat show, there were other two exhibitions.  It seems the autumn is the golden season to do all kinds of activities.

Last night after work I went to a very cute place called ” Dayday Holiday” where you could spend the whole day with friends together to play games / watch movies / chat / enjoy the casual time. The place supplies all the facilities that you might need : projectors, Wifi … and you can bring the food /snacks you like.  I noticed that this kind of places are very popular in the town recently, people are lack of the places/ chances to join the social acitivies. And it isnt that easy to go to the nature neither.  Then people come out with this ” man-made”  “playground”. Some are very nice indeed.

The Shanghai Exhibition Center is a very marvellous building in this city. It is a very unique amongest those modern style concrete buildings. It once was called ” Sino-Soviet Friendship Mansion” when it was built in 1955. And there is a golden star on the top of the main building, and it is made of the real golden according to the info. Wow !!  In 1984 it was changed to the name of ” Shanghai Exhibition Center”, since then the big exhibitions were held there very often. After the SHContemporary art show last week, the coming weekend there will be another exhibition called ” Expat  Show Shanghai 2009” there.  And I will work there.  Pfff…no time to rest! But it will be fun to get to know something new.  So, wish you good Thursday, and yeah !!

No, no, this is not some acrobatical show. This is the street scene I met on my to the gallery. They are the construction workers, guessing they were trying to fix something on that top place.  Maybe the economic reason, maybe the Expo of next year, the whole city turns to be the “big” contruction site totally.
