Its raining, and its Monday, which means the public transportation will be madly crowded during the rush hours. Lucky I can walk to the office.
Every morning after wake-up, I have the habit of listenning the morning news. It sounds not like a girl’s habit, isnt it? :p
Anyway, today there is an important news on the air - President Obama landed in Shanghai. I do not like talk about the politics very much, but I do care about what happens around me. The newest Asian edition Time put a big Chinese character “五”(wu, literally five) on the cover to discuss the top five things people could learn from China. More and more attention from all over the world is turned to our country. That is good.
The dried little petunia branches and leaves on the balcony were swinging with the wind in the rain. It brought me the chill while I was standing inside and looking through the glasses. Hope this gloomy weather wont spoil the tirp of the important guests from far away. We are warm and friendly!!

Like the monday morning title and photo……works well, like a hand in a glove. I am not surprised you listen to the news, I am sure you are well informed of many things coz u r …SHDP girl.
Listening to the morning news.. Is it like most girls, no …I don’t think so. But you are not like most, you have broken the mold,,, creating your own style.
I too am happy President Obama is in China, and of course glad he went to Shanghai. I am sure the person whom wrote the article for Asian Times was in a hurry.
五”(wu, literally five…..only five things? Well it is just a cover, right
I would have made a bigger list……..All the attention on China is good
warm and friendly ………is the feeling I believe Mr. President will recognize immedately once he lands in Shanghai. He will forget the gloomy weather and see all of the wonderful hearts shining through.
Well i think they should just bag off and let Obama do his thing so far so good. Who care’s if he don’t twitter it’s not like it matters anyways..
Good morning Jing…I told my friends today about your blog, they wondered like me what are those five things people could learn from China.
90 percent of my friends are from China, most of the influential people in my life have come from China, the mainland. For the last nine years I have travelled through Canada, Europe and the US with chinese friends and acquanitances. Working on many projects, they taught me so much with their care and attention, made my life so much richer in many ways.
I spend most of my time in NY in chinatown with chinese people during the day. I could tell you many stories that would make you laugh make you cry. The chinese people have a very special place in my heart of all the people’s in the world I am closest to them . Hope you have a bright warm day too.
