This is not a very good shot. I moved a little bit. And what I want to show is this type of shops on the small streets in the town. Have ever noticed when you visited Shanghai? This is the shop where you could find different types of roasted seeds and nuts, but it only appears in the cold days. In the summer, very less people will take them as the snacks, but in the winter those fried peanuts or sunflower seeds are very popular. Is that the same habit there?
And if you could read the Chinese, you also would notice most of the owners are from northern China and they always name their shops with their hometown, and like Shan Dong ( 山东)which is mentioned frequently. Okay, time to get my peanuts now!

Our winter is very different than Shanghai, we complain about the cold, but for you would think it is very nice….Yes we do have those nuts and seeds for sell too. I like them very much, when it turns cooler, I like them for a snack.
I like the story and details/background information. You haven’t taught us any chinese for awhile, Teacher Jing..maybe in the future you have time can do a little bit more?
Shan Dong ( 山东) I like this, when you do it.
Today is the middle of the week SHDP girl…keep up the good work too
hope today you have a warm nice day eating your peanuts.
ps…I am starting a new flickr site, with different content

hope you visit it……..Will there is a will there is a way !!!!!
the author, of that saying…. is from Shanghai, “she is Simple … slim … smile … sleepy…”
they all begin with “S”, just like Shangahi….did she plan it that way????
Have a wonderful day DP girl
Roasted nuts are a winter food? Sounds tasty. Where I’m from, some people eat nuts at Christmas, but it’s not very common anymore.
