Oh. yes, I was absent.
sorry ~ And how are you? How is your weekend?? Forgot the Notebook in the office and then no way to upload the photos. Anyway, I had busy weekend as usual. And went to the ice skate with friends yesterday where its called Super Rink. Its cold inside, but the people there seems really enjoyed their “dangerous” fun. I tried just for few minutes, then gave up. One of our friend, she felt down to the ground and hurt her knees. Finally even the doctor said it wasnt serious, but I think next time when you try to go to skate, make sure you do the warming exercise firstly. Nice new week, and wish my friend could recover asap.

Ren min road is nearby the old town, and also near to the Temple of City God . The city is always doing the construction to renovate those very old houses. And this is a very usual view on the streets nowadays. I dont know how to comment about this fast changing of the city. Sometimes something is missing, sometimes its nice to see the new changes and development. Eveything is not perfect, nothing is perfect. Maybe its a better way to see it as the “destroyed” beauty? Still cold, still working days ~ but wish you see something new in your daily life ~ cheers!!!
about A second past ~

Taken @ Temple of City God, shanghai
Its windy and cold of course. The news said part of southern China snowed heavily. Hope the situation wont be so worse.
Sunday I went to the Temple of City God (城隍庙 = cheng huang miao) where you could find a huge wholesale market to buy anything you want almost. Even I’ve been there for many time I still got lost with my friend. We cant find the lift and had to go downstairs, and saw this man. He was taking a nap in the corner of the stairs, and from his appearance he maybe is a redcap. Life is tough, and lets treasure what we have!!
Stay warm~~

Its raining, and its Monday, which means the public transportation will be madly crowded during the rush hours. Lucky I can walk to the office.
Every morning after wake-up, I have the habit of listenning the morning news. It sounds not like a girl’s habit, isnt it? :p
Anyway, today there is an important news on the air - President Obama landed in Shanghai. I do not like talk about the politics very much, but I do care about what happens around me. The newest Asian edition Time put a big Chinese character “五”(wu, literally five) on the cover to discuss the top five things people could learn from China. More and more attention from all over the world is turned to our country. That is good.
The dried little petunia branches and leaves on the balcony were swinging with the wind in the rain. It brought me the chill while I was standing inside and looking through the glasses. Hope this gloomy weather wont spoil the tirp of the important guests from far away. We are warm and friendly!!
about Chilly Monday

Taken @ Yan dang road, shanghai
How is your Sunday there? Since its getting cold here, not so many people outside. But I need my food anyway. And today I went to eat some soup which tastes very nice for us — ya xue fen si tang (鸭血粉丝汤), in literally, 鸭血(ya xue)= the duck blood curd; 粉丝(fen si)=the bean noodle; 汤(tang)= soup. Inside, there are some duck blood curd, the bean noodles, also some fried tofu with soup. You also could choose to put some duck’s gizzard or the duck’s intestine. I do not like the giblets. So I asked the cook not to put for my dish.
Have you ever heard about this kind of food?
Once we brought our French friends to try, haha… You could image the result, they scared to eat because of the ingredients. But for us, its quite a good choice for the winter as it has very hot soup. Well, Food culture is so amazing ~ when I try to explain the Chinese food to the friends, I realize that its actually the marvellous knowledge. And recently I have the thought to be a chef someday…
And lastly,I wanted to thank my dear friends who visit the blog everyday and leave/not leave the comments for me. Even few words could bring me the greatest encouragement to keep doing more photos, to observe our life in details and enjoy it.
Thank you, thank you very much ~ hugs hugs ~~!!
