November 13, 2009 - Time flies

Its cold cold outside now. People on the streets all wrapped like some rice dumpling if you know what I mean.  The office computer will be changed soon, so when I checked the old film I took this summer, I missed the hot summer when we no need put on so many clothes and everything is not that frozen.

November 12, 2009 - Shooting a shot

Oh, oh, hope you don’t have the heart diseases. The photo is a little bit red? hehe, yeah, still one picture from my last roll of Holga which I asked to be cross-processed. And it turned like this  - very strong hue. Some of my friends told me they do not like this effect. But I kindly like it, its warm for the cold raining weather here.  

The place in the photo is on the riverside of the Suzhou Creek, where the most parts are demolished to welcome the coming international Shanghai Expo. That was in this past Spring, a flickr friend from HK came to shanghai and we went out to take the snapshots around the interesting parts of the downtown. A friend was shooting something and I shot him.

When you plan the trip a city, you will make the visit scheduler to make sure to no time waste. So what about Shanghai? When some friends visit here, and I am often been asked, where is the good place to visit for a short time to know the “real” face of this city? If you choose to know the normal local life,I may recommend you this place — Tai Kang lu (泰康路), even its not the “real” thing any more. But during half of the day, you could see the some typical local residential environment, even mixed with lots of exotic restaurants.

Its raining here, and the report says it will be getting cold as the cold air is coming. A little bit sad mood here, maybe because last night I went to watch the movie ” This is it” with a friend. We are almost the same age, even we are not the big fan of MJ, but his influence is in our way to grow up.  Its just our respect to this greatest entertainer in the world.  God bless you ~~
