This coming year is the Tiger year if you are familiar with the Chinese animal. We have 12 animals for the Chinese zodiac, which starts from Rats, and ends by Pig; and it also represents the 12 Earthly Branches - 地支(di4 zhi1) which combines with the Heavenly Branches to designate years, months, days and hours in the lunar calendar. So if you check the lunar calendar of 2010, you will find that from 14th of Feb. the 2nd Chinese character which combines with the other word from Heavenly Branches is 寅 (yin2), which means Tiger in Chinese.
Huhu, complicated?? hehe…yeah, even from most of Chinese people they dont know this knowledge any more in the “westernized” modern society. But its very interesting if you dig into the traditional culture.
Okay, I will give a break now…
wish you a cosy & lazy weekend!!

when the weather is sunny and nice, you cant help to catch the blue shy while we are not very lucky to see it every day. I like the sunny days in the cold winter.
The atmosphere here is quite “festival”. People start to take part in different gatherings before the Chinese new year holidays. And the stores are busy selling the “festival goods” to the “moms” who are normally in charge of preparing the foods for family gathering, also the “new-year-gift” for kids. In the office, people want to finish the jobs before the long holidays… Everyone seems busy, everyone feels busy & tired. So do I, but I really don’t know what I am busy for…Anyway holiday is coming

Yeah, I was on the roof!
Last Sunday when I worked in the gallery, someone tried to fix the building’s roof. But they didnt notice that the rainwater down pipe was broken too. When they watered the toof to find where needs fix, the water from the broken pipe made the entrance totally like rainning. So I went to the roof to talk to the workers to get the pipe fixed firstly. And I saw this view where the workers tried to get their beds dry. Very simple stuff, and I am sure when they finish their jobs here, they will move to another “home” to work again.
Life sometimes is tough, life sometimes is also simple.

The hall for selling the train tickets automatically. And if you notice, there were already lots of people on the square in queue. Yeah, the horrible time is coming!!
I mean the most famous “crowded-trains-during-the-Chinese-New-Year” time.
