This is a new art museum appeared in the downtown; its quite close to the Bund, yeah, just behind the new Peninsula Hotel. Its called Rockbund Art Museum. Maybe you should go there and check.

Cai Guoqiang, do you know this artist? I think some may know him. I went to see his new exhibition in the town yesterday. ( you can find more info. here. ) The show is called “Cai Guo-Qiang : Peasant da Vincis”, a very interesting instalation. And inside the photos are forbidden, so I only can take some outside of the building. On the distance wall, the whole sentence is “农民，让城市更美好。”( in pinyin – nong min, rang chengshi geng meihao. ) which means “the peasants make better city”.
Do you still remember the slogan of Shanghai Expo? Yeah, in English its “Better City, Better Life.” But in Chinese, it says in literally ” City, makes better life.” (城市，让生活更美好。= in pinyin ; chengshi, rang shenghuo geng meihao. ) So, maybe now you think of something ?

“上海总会”(Shanghai zong hui) is the Chinese phrase to say “Shanghai club”. It is an old building standing on the Bund for many years. The first building was built in 1861, of course not the one now you can. The building now we could see is built in 1909. Now the Bund changes a lot, the whole view looks more beautiful. All the old buildings are being repair, also this one. You can see from this corner. Wish you have a nice Friday ~
