About Jing:
She is common, someone you may never notice if you brush against her on the streets.
Shanghai is amazing, once people called her “the eastern Paris”, and once people also called her “the Devil City”. It’s the junction of western & eastern, inner China & outer China.
Since Jing starts to live in this city, she starts to feel her, day and night. She wants to memorize the come-and-go moments in this special city and as well as part of her life. Maybe those photos are not the best; for her, they are real, and they represent her feelings and her breath.
Thanks for coming by and take a look, she hopes you could feel the dust from the tiny corner.
Here she displays her shots about the city she lives everyday – Shanghai. If you like her photos, drop a line; if you dont like her photos, please drop a line too.
She appreciates those comments for it is the motivity for her to keep this blog on and so helpful to improve her photography.

Hi Jing:
Hi Jing:
I have stay in Shanghai during the first week of July 2008 in a business trip. The last day my boss left me for a while to take a trip in the city. It was the 2th july in the afternoon and I took a taxi. There were clouds looks threatening in the sky and suddenly a double rainbow and some well illuminated clouds appears over the city. I was in the taxi, trying to find something to chat in my poor English with the driver.. just the time to open my camera bag and shoot some views. The clouds were now almost hide behind the buildings…Nevertheless I have enjoyed my walk trough the streets of Shanghai. Now, reviewing your photoblog I have recognized tis rainbow in your picture of 3 July. That was fantastic. Quickly I have searched in my “Shanghai album” and verify the date in the exif. OK, we have shoot over the same point at the almost the same moment. Oh, internet is really a great thing!
Thank you very much for take your time for upload your daily photographs. I really like most of them and i’m really impressed by your capacity to find something relevant to be shoot in such relevant way.
(Sorry, each time I make a “tab” that seems to submit my comment)

I shall look forward to your reply for now and I shouldn’t forget wishing you a very Happy New Year!

Hey Jing,
I found your picture “March 9, 2008 – People in the People Square” on google when image searching the words “people in the metro”. As a visual artist I use my own photos as well as material from the web and books as base material for realistic drawings. After seeing this picture I decided to use it for my next work. Since I literally will reproduce and change the work in the process of drawing, I will not violate any copyright stuff, but I thought Id let you know. Ill give you cred for the original photo on my website;
josefinrasmuson.org. I hope this is ok with you,
With love and lots of appreciation,
J
