November 5, 2009 - Red Yangtze river

7418-8635-008

Taken  @ Nanjing , China

I really forgot that this roll was in my Holga for ages!!! :P When I processed I was surprised to see some shots from Nanjing where I went this Spring!! Oh Dear ~

Its interesting experience to try different types of films with Holga, this is Fuji RVP100F. and I asked to cross processed. Then I got this so strong hue shot! Hm, maybe its good to see it in the winter? :D Because it looks like something is burning.

The view is the Yangtze river, where I was on a ferry boat to reach the other side of Nanjing city – where the old railway station is, which is abandoned for years. The buildings there are still preserved, and I quite like them – less people, quiet, and only 2 or 3 floors.  Oh, that place is called “Pu kou”(浦口).

October 21, 2009 - Roadside Lunch

Taken  @ Some where in Shanghai

I have some small film cameras too, but the problems about using the film camera is that you will take more time to think about that is it great enough to take this one? Then the one roll might take you long long time to finish. And this one roll is produced, I realized that it took me more than 5 months to finish this roll in my Olympus μ1. And I already forgot where I took it exactly.  :P

People who work in the downtown have a very big issue  – how to solve your lunch when you are so far from your home/ office sometimes. Well, for us, we could go to a restaurant and sit down . But for some poor people, how do they deal with it? Here is one way I guess.  Life is tough.

Summer in Shanghai this year is quite different, now its quite cooler and nice, not like before. Maybe the reason of the solar eclipse? I dont know, hehe. But its quite nice that we no need bare that “hot” days. Recently I was quite lazy for the Blog, I need apologize to my friends who care the blog and this city.  Since the aching of arms and fingers, I started to reduce the time online, and as those old pals who I often hanged out to take streets snapshots are busy their own life, and sometimes its just no mood to go out to do the shooting. But dont worry any more, the passion is back already and I will make sure that I will keep this blog going on. :)   Haha, keep an eye on me!! :D

Taken @ Lujia zui, shanghai

Sorry, my dear friends…. :D Because we had the dragon boat festival, I visited Nanjing again with my good friends. Sorry, I was so happy and forgot to upload new photos… Hope you do not mind, and will enjoy the photos with me together.  :D

Today is another shot from the Lujia zui area in Pudong, another angle, and you can see how many skyscapers there. :P and maybe you will enjoy the view if you are like Mr. Rolex who likes the modern views. hehe …I remembered 3 years ago when I used my first camera to take photos for the Shanghai DP, there were only 5 skyscapers along the Huangpu river on the east, including the Oriental Pearl Tower, but now… What  a BIG change!! And so obviously the city is developing fast !!

Hope you will have a nice Sunday.. and I will update tomorrow, if you do not mind, maybe some photos from my trip? :P haha…take care!!!

May 27, 2009 - Tall, Taller…

_019

Taken @Pudong, shanghai

Yeah, you know what buildings they are! :D The JinMao tower(L) and Shanghai World Financial Center(R). Those 2 buildings are very close to each other, and now another tallest (maybe) skyscaper on the east side of  SWFC is under construction already. I googled and its the Shanghai Center. Now when you stand on the Lujiazui, and you really will have the feeling that our world is combined by the skyscapers only. Its new, its marvelous… But I prefer choose some lower buildings which wont give me the pressure. Maybe I am too small? :P hehe ~

Tomorrow is our traditional Dragon Boat festival!! :D Best wishes to you, my dear friends!! And from this year it will be the first time that the whole nation takes it as the national holiday, then we will have a long weekend. Remember to find some rice dumpling (Zong Zi) & salty duck eggs to eat, and if possible,  find the Asiatic wormwood to hang on the front door. :P And I will show some sachets I bought for friends tomorrow then.  Be happy ~~~
